Children Services
  About

Children are important in our life at St Paul’s! We encourage children to
remain in the worship service with their parents as soon as they are
able. Being in worship makes good worshipers of all of us!

Children’s Time during worship: There is a special time for children during the
9:45 a.m. worship service, a brief object lesson related to the
scripture for the day. This time provides interaction with the
Director of Discipleship, the Pastor, and other adults. Following
this time, the children pray together and are dismissed to either
nursery or children’s church.

Nursery care is available in the Nursery (2nd floor, education wing) during
the 9:45 a.m. service, for children ages newborn through
kindergarten.

Children’s Church activities, which vary week to week, are held following
children’s time in the 9:45 a.m. worship service for the remainder
of the worship time, for children in grades 1 through 3. Children in
grades 4 and up are expected to remain in the worship service with
their families.

When a month has five Sundays, the 5th is designated “family Sunday.”
There is no Children’s Church activity, and kids stay with their
parents in worship.

Confirmation Program:
Youth who are going in 7th grade (or older) may begin the 2-year
Confirmation Program. The programs purpose is three-fold: the
discipleship of youth; nurturing youth to claim baptismal vows for
themselves (or make the decision to be baptized); helping youth “find
their (particular) place” at St Paul’s.

The first year includes worship, service, and fellowship activities. When
a young person advances to phase 2, the scheduling of Confirmation
classes is arranged by mutual agreement of all involved.
