While the church consists of many programs and activities, worship is the heart of our community at St. Paul’s. We offer two services each Sunday in our beautiful handicap-accessible and air-conditioned sanctuary: 7:45 and 9:45 am.
The first service at 7:45 am is “traditional” in the sense that singing is generally accompanied by the organ. The service usually lasts 45 minutes. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month; congregants come forward and receive communion directly from the Pastor. Many of our older members prefer this service.
The 9:45 service uses a “blended” worship style. The Worship Team (our contemporary music group) leads supplemental music. The adult choir offers special music and the cherub and Oasis choirs sing regularly. A power-point set-up enhances worship participation. This service, which includes a special time for children, generally lasts an hour. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month; congregants remain in the pews, and serve one another the communion elements. Lay readers participate in both worship services.
